Working from home?

We’re a year into the Covid pandemic with no end in sight, so if you’re anything like us at Atelier Lane you’re spending a lot of time at home.

We are seeing a greater understanding of, and desire for the creation of more multi-functional environments. Homes that maximise the potential of the finite living space to account for these ‘new normal’ use case scenarios. Designs that allow you to comfortably work, workout, relax and entertain at home.

The majority of our clients are looking for dedicated spaces. We work at the luxury end of the market which typically has greater square footage, so dedicated office spaces, more comprehensively equipped gyms, professional grade kitchens and of course state of the art technologies for lighting and communications are key. In our more modest homes, it is still just a matter of scale, and we utilise smart space planning and agile design functionality to incorporate these much-requested features.

The unprecedented stresses of the pandemic have led to an even greater awareness of wellness regarding our physical and especially mental health. We have been increasingly incorporating biophilic design into our interior design in Hong Kong, maximising and modifying light, increasing, and improving air quality and airflow. Incorporating planting and using organic materials, natural colours, and geometries to create an underlying sense of calm and wellbeing.
